In the new year, the new Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman and the High Commissioner of Malaysia assigned to Bangladesh, Hazna Md Hasim, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mustafa Jabbar.
They paid a courtesy visit to the Bangladesh Secretariat minister's office on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Malaysia exchanged views on bilateral interests related to the telecommunication sector.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications highlighted the excellent relations between the two brotherly countries of Bangladesh and Malaysia and said that Malaysia is a true friend of Bangladesh. As the culture of Bangladesh and Malaysia are almost identical, Bangladeshi people feel very comfortable in Malaysia as a foreign workplace.
He highlighted the progress in the telecommunication sector of Bangladesh in the last 14 years and said that wonderful progress has been achieved in every sector of the country as a result of the implementation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's digital program. Our digital programs are serving as role models in the world.

He mentioned Bangladesh as a very profitable place for investment. He expressed optimism that Malaysia will play a role in utilizing this opportunity of the minister's government's investment-friendly policy.
On the other hand, the Ambassador of Malaysia highlighted various initiatives in the social services of the country, including the establishment of a hospital in Cox's Bazar, and Malaysia's investment in the telecommunication sector. He said, Malaysia is very proud of the excellent relations with Bangladesh.
After the exchange of views with the Ambassador of Malaysia, the newly joined Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Department Abu Hena Morshed Zaman and Additional Secretary AKM Amirul Islam met with the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.
Meanwhile, the minister congratulated the newly joined secretary and additional secretary and gifted them 12 books written by him. After that they both joined the new duties.
